Testimonial 1 - Supporting Local Schools
Henderson Mill Elementary
Thank you for the new reptile/fish molds and printing materials! As a STEAM certified school we are always looking to make sure that Art connects to everything we do. This project has multiple uses, the fish will help our 2nd & 4th graders raise our Rainbow Trout that get released into the Chattahoochee River. We have a partnership with Small Fry To Go that gives the kids a chance to see life-cycles and importance of clean water. I introduce students to Gyotaku printing (early form of documentation for fishermen) and have them use the fish molds to print and study the life-cycle they see at the Labitat. Our kindergarten students will focus on the textures of all the fish and reptiles during their introduction to 3D work. This helps young students to understand different forms and develop manual dexterity by being able to touch and feel the molds. 2nd and 5th grade will work on classification and use these to print and sketch. Students were so excited to see the reptiles and enjoyed being able to feel all the shapes and textures of the fish. I had a few students try out our new printing stuff! I can't wait to share everything with the entire school! Thank you again so much!”

Students will use this Bubble Bonanza Showcase kit during STEM lessons. Using this kit, students will be able to use their understanding of science content, creative thinking and collaborative skills to design a device that "BLOWS THEM AWAY" and brings amusement to real life.Our goal in education is to prepare students to become career and college ready, and eventually contribute to their community. STEM lessons help students achieve more by building skills that transcend the classroom.
